About the role
You'll be one of the first humans in the loop keeping Skimmity safe. Expect rolling shifts, clear playbooks, and direct access to the team building the tools you use every day. This is a builder role — your feedback shapes policy and product.
What you'll do
- Review flagged posts, profiles, and messages against our community and compliance policies.
- Action reports within SLA and escalate edge cases with clear written rationale.
- Help refine moderation playbooks as new patterns emerge.
- Partner with engineering on tooling gaps — you'll be the first to spot them.
- Maintain a healthy pace with strict break structure; wellbeing is non-negotiable.
What we're looking for
- 1+ years in content moderation, trust & safety, or high-volume customer support.
- Strong written English and sound judgement under ambiguity.
- Comfort reviewing sensitive adult content professionally.
- Reliable internet and a private workspace.
- Based in South Africa (SAST) or ±3 hours.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with POPIA or FPB frameworks.
- Experience with Zendesk, Intercom, or bespoke moderation tools.
- Prior work at a creator, dating, or UGC platform.
